Expanding sales in in leisure vehicles and motorhomes saw West Country Motorhomes extend facilities at their premises in Highbridge, Somerset in 2022.

Building two new workshops to keep up with the growing demand also bought increased electricity use on site. Having installed an original PV array with Forest in March 2013, it was an easy step to contact us when considering energy generation options for the new units. Workshops with corrugated roofs are ideal for solar PV panels, large arrays can be installed to offset electrical consumption, the site at Brent Knoll, Highbridge has reduced its grid consumption by an average of 35% each year and has offset 7Tonnes of CO2 in the process, export tariff supplier contracts also generate income for electricity not consumed on site.

In addition to the panels installed in Somerset, West Country Motorhomes’ Accountant, Ian Carp, also contacted us to install solar panels to the reception building at their site in Swindon too. The 4kWp array of 16 panels contributes to offset the electricity used for heating, lighting, computers and office equipment.
