This beautiful residential outdoor activity centre, located in an area of outstanding natural beauty really wanted to reduce their rising electricity costs. Initially installing a 24 panel system, the site quickly realised the savings achievable with solar and opted for a further array as an extension to their original. As high consumers of electricity, the Forest Team analysed their usage profile as part of the design phase, finding increased consumption carried on into the evening, battery storage was added to the design to store any excess generated power for later use. The site currently uses 92% of the solar power generated by the roof and this has reduced their onsite electrical consumption by 20%.  The trustees of the centre were grateful for the considerate and knowledgeable team at Forest, recognising our flexibility for working together with a client to achieve the best solution both in terms of design and availability for installation.
